Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i fell onto a bike rack on sunday and cut my lip and bruised my chin, and my cheek and collar are sore as well. today, i am experiencing a mild headache. I did not eat much the past 2 days, and feel overall weak. i am wondering if i should be concerned with the headache i am experiencing or if this was a normal a few days after an injury to the face
** Thanks for contacting with your health concern and after reviewing your case history I'm of the following opinion:
1. Since there is history of fall thus it could be 'post traumatic or post concussion headache' and will it will be wise to have a careful medical, neurological, and neuroimaging assessment.
2. If after careful assessment no major concern is established then simple analgesic [NSAID's] and tricyclic anti depressants for chronic pain will usually suffice otherwise surgery, drug therapy and/or physical modality will depend upon the cause established.
