What Causes Head Cold Along With Pain In Tailbone?

I am 30 yrs old. I'm 5'8" and around 108 lbs. I have sinus/allergies problems. I've been dealing with a head cold that has gone down into my lungs..about a week and a half into it. Now I'm congested and coughing a lot. My tailbone has started to hurt when I cough... is this normal?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You can have viral or allergic respiratory infection....

You can have sinusitis or bronchitis like infection...
If needed for that PNS x ray and chest x ray useful.
CBC done which if viral show lymphocytosis and if allergic will show eosinophilia ....

Symptomatic management done...
Drink more water.
Spicy and fried food less....
Steam inhalation help in sinus drainage .
Take Antihistaminic drug to relieve congestive symptom...
Also prophylactically levoflox like Antibiotic taken....

If blocked nose present then oxymetazolin nasal spray useful....
If cough wet and troublesome then ambroxol might needed.

Finally if respiratory airflow limitation by inflammatory swelling more then bronchodilator given....

Take care...

You can discuss these with treating pulmonologist ....
