What Causes Hard Bumps Around The Waist After Smoking Methamphetamine?

Just found out by boyfriend is smoking meth and now has a very infected area in his waist where his pants rub. I thought it was a big bite at first but it s now been 4 or 5 days and it is VERY red and hot, 3 huge red streaks, and it feels like 2 separate very hard bumps inside. Its super tender to the touch and it just keeps getting worse. This is day #5. I m wondering what it could be. Boil? Abscess, MRCA? Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-:
1)make a solution of 5% aluminum acetate in water and dress 3 times a day
2)Use Calamine lotion if any itching occurs
3)Add prednisone 40 mg per day up to one week then taper each week 10 mg
4)Take ACYCLOR tablet 800mg once a day upto 10 days.
5)Do a full blood count with differential
