What Causes Hand Numbness And Back Pain After Taking Medrol?

I took a medrol dose pack last week and finished it Wednesday December 28. On day 5 of the pack I began to experience numbness in hands and fingers and pain in my arms ando elbows. I have an intense backache and my trunk is tender to the touch. I m also retaining water in my abdomen. My prescribing doctor and pharmacist never heard of this side effects even though are listed on the package insert. I m concerned if this is permanent and don t know who to ask since the health care professionals I spoke to never heard of these side effects. I am extremely worried.
