What Causes Hair Loss While On Paxil For Treatment Of Anxiety?
Hi, I am a Registerd nurse, so I usually can fin d answers to questions. I started on paxil 10 mg for anxiety attacks that I could not get under control.. I fell like I m loosing my hair, and my eyes are very sensitive to light. Is this normal S/E s? I did not see it anywhere Is there a better medication for anxiety? YYYY@YYYY
Paroxetine does not cause hair loss. Hair loss may be due to nutritional deficiency or it may be due to too much mental stress. Paxil can cause abnormal vision or blurred vision as a common side effect. But it does not cause increased sensitivity to light. Advice 1. Continue paroxetine in the morning 2. Get an eye check up with an eye specialist 3. Start workout in gym at least half an hour in a day for 5 days in a week 4. Do meditation 5. Stop smoking and alcohol if you are consuming 6. Take high protein diet such as eggs, cheese, pulses and dairy products 7. Take an over the counter nutritional supplement I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thanks
