What Causes Gurgling Sound Coming From Sinuses?

Hello. I have a gurgling sound that seems to be coming from my sinuses. I feel pressure and get a headache when laying down in bed. When I turn from side to side, I hear "clicking" sounds too. I have high blood pressure and take medication for it, so is there something I can take for my sinuses?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The gurgling sound coming from sinuses might be related to possible inflammation/infection of the sinuses.

I suggest to do

- an X-ray of sinuses
- culture of nasal swabbing

to diagnose infection/inflammation and get treated accordingly.

I also suggest to monitor your blood pressure and do regular cardiac check ups.

Do use another pillow when laying down to avoid problems with breathing.

Keep a good hygiene of your nostrils and throat.

Hope it was of help!
