What Causes Gum Bleeding While Suffering From Tonsillitis?

My doctor has diagnosed me with tonsillitis. He said it usually goes away on it s own after 3-4 days. He gave a prescription for aspirin to dissolve in water and gargle to help with the pain. He also gave me a back pocket prescription for anti-biotics if it gets any worse. It has not gotten better after 4 days and I have now got the antibiotics which I started taking today. They are E-mycin as I am allergic to penicillin. My question is regarding another ailment I now have - sensitive gums that are now bleeding when I brush my teeth. Is this related to the tonsilitis? The medication? Not related at all?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the important is diagnosis if it is infection of tonsil then antibiotic will work here other wise just swelling condition may not need any antibiotic, second sensitive gums is separate condition and it may not be due to tonsil of medicine given for this, (Aspirin need to be avoided ) hope this information may helps, tame care and have a nice day.
