What Causes Growth Of Scab In Inner Ear Of A Child?
Hi, my 7 yr old daughter has a growth just inside her ear, heading towards her inner ear, which started out with what seemed to be a scab. It has really grown, and seems to be growing into a somewhat large mole in the span of a few months. What would you recommend? It is not odd coloured, but it bothers her if it is bumped and such.

A skin colored lesion in the ear which is progressively growing in size is suggestive of an aural polyp or a ear polyp.
A polyp is a non-neoplastic growth and is common in ear.
However, a clinical assessment is required to assess the lesion.
In addition, examination of the middle ear and inner ear is also required to look for its extent.
If the growth is not attached to the middle ear and the inner ear, the growth can be surgically removed.
Thus, consult an ENT specialist for clinical assessment and thus management.
