What Causes Green Coloured Urination?

I have been taking folic acid tablets and trying to conceive, I have been doing ovulation tests and I ovulated early last week. My ovulation tests say that I am ovulating again yesterday and also again today...my stools are dark green in colour and have been for the past two days,I have taken a pregnancy test it reads as negative. Do you have any ideas? Please.

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. As you are pregnant and trying to concieve thus it is wise to contact an OB/GYN doctor for further necessary instructions and management, however I do want to add some points like:

- hormones produced in pregnancy causes the gall bladder to overproduce bile and causes green coloured stool
- also taking more of green leafy vegetables and prenatal vitamins can produce the same effect [which may effect the color of urine and bowel movements]

2. If you are ovulating and pregnancy test is negative have an appointment with a specilaist to exclude any underlying health problem and if none is there probably wait, it could be completely normal.
