What Causes Green Coloured Stool After Excessive Alcohol Intake?

celebrated birthday with a little to much alcohol last night when I went to the bathroom this morning and later in the day my stool was very green. I also had cake with black icing that had a lot of food color in it, Also had gall bladder removed 3 months ago

Hi. Thanks for the query. There is nothing you need to worry about this if it was just a single episode. Bile secreted by the liver is green in colour which changes its colour as it goes through the intestine. If the transit time is less which might have been in your case, then the stools appear green. Gall bladder is just a store house of bile. Geting it removed doesnt mean you no longer produce bile. So just relax and have a great day. Thank you for contacting HCM.
