What Causes Green Color Vaginal Bleeding With Strong Smell?
I ve neen of my period now for a week, I have a tilted uterus and its not weird for me if a few days after my period stops to for me to have a little brown flow of blood thats old. Now my period was only 3 days this month which is unusual but today I had a gush of green blood that smelled strongly of blood. What would cause it to be green and not brown?

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. S. Samanta's Response
Hi! thanks for writing to HCM sharing your health problem!
After going through your history, I must ask you to immediately see your gynecologist for urgent internal examination and ultrasound test of the lower abdomen and pelvic region! In fact, I must say that your problem is very long standing, probably for years and it is just a continuous process...menstrual blood collected in some cavity in the birth canal, the RBCs engulfed by histiocytes, hemosiderin formation>brown color fluid>contact with environmental oxygen>oxidation of the pigment>green colored ferritin/hemosiderin formation....therefore, now you have both brown/green; ultimately all will be green only!
Hope this helps you..
