What Causes Grainy Stool While Suffering From Constipation?

Hello, my daughter is three years old and potty trained. She will be four in January. She s always had a problem with constipation since birth. Her Dr. thinks it is something that will go away on it s own as she gets older but she will start school next year and this is a really big issue. She eats vegetables and fruits and she drinks lots of fluids. I have tried fiber supplements, suppositories, almost everything you can give a toddler. When she does to go to the bathroom to have a bowel movement, it usually end up with me wiping grainy flaky stool from her bottom. Is there anything else I could do to help her??

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it can not be considered as constipation, it is okay if the child does not pass the stool for couple of days, just little is required in her diet, encourage the child for drinking water, cut down the food that demands more water for digestion or absorb water from big intestine, it need to be discuss with dietician hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
