What Causes Gas, Abdominal Cramps, Heart Burns And Nausea?

Hi, to start off , I first started birth control about a year ago, and then I took myself off of it, then I started back on it 2 months ago. (I start my 3rd pack tomorrow) but lately I ve been having gassy cramps and heart burns, and I am not supposed to have my period, nor have I had one since two months ago( when I was off of birth control). Today I ve been cramping and having heart burns more than usual, and I got to the bathroom, to do a number 2 which is more common than usual, since my cramps are gassy, and when I wipe I notice this clear gelatin substance with some reddish brown in it. Early today I had a spot the size of a small button of redish brown discharge. I ve had sex like a month ago on birth control, with a condom and I haven t been nauseous and my breasts aren t tender, I can t be pregnant right?

Hello, thanks for the concern. According to history you had reddish brown discharge after having sex when you were taking birth control pills. That means you are not pregnant. Abdominal cramps with heartburn may be due to infection in intestine and acidity. So you can take antacid for acidity and metal spas for cramp in abdomen. You can also start antibiotics for infection in abdomen and avoid spicy and oily food in the diet.
You are not pregnant at all but if this spotting continues and no active bleeding starts than immediately consult your treating gynaecologist.
