What Causes Gardnerella Vaginalis During Pregnancy?
I am pregnant and was recently diagnosed with gardnerella, my doctor doesnt seem to be giving me correct information. I was told it wasnt sexually transmitted but just googled it and it said that it was. Is it possible for my partner to have it in her mouth or throat? My throat hurts also.

Gardenella is commensal organism which normally lives in vagina . it is not sexually transmitted and not usually present in throat or mouth. in pregnancy acidic pH increases so gardenella organism increase as they live in acidic pH
