What Causes Frequent Vomiting While Suffering From Diabetes?

My husband has type two diabetes and has bouts of vomiting that are becoming more frequent. He takes insulin once a day, doesn t really exercise and has a demanding high stress job. He has been to a gastroenterologist and his gp and has had many tests, stress, stomach emptying, and all kinds of blood work. These episodes are happening at least once a month and lately twice a month. It usually lasts approximately 1 day with him in bed the next day recovering. Help?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that his symptoms could be related to cyclic vomiting syndrome.

Anyway, I would recommend consulting first with an ENT specialist in order to exclude a possible inner ear disorder and performing a brain MRI study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
