I am a 41 year old male and 3 weeks ago I started having back pain and pain around my anus. A week later I started having uriniary frequency issues that continue to persist. Other symptoms have resolved. I have to use the washroom every hour. Doctor did urine test but no blood and no bacteria. He send me for lower abdomen ultrasound which was normal. Bladder was voiding ok. Prostate size was 14cc. He also did DRE and said prostate was ok. Doctor said it will go away and prescribed flomax. I haven t taken it yet because I want to reduce frequancy and I read flomax increases frequancy. I have no symptom other than urinary frequanvy and occasional sharp pain in the tip of penis and anus. I m very concerned about the urinary frequancy and want to know how can this be controlled. Please help.
