General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible causes like prostate enlargement must be ruled out. Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis is required to know the size and status of status and to know whether there is any retained urine in the bladder.

Most cases managed medically and rarely surgical correction is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
