What Causes Frequent Urination During Sleep And Tailbone Pain?

I wake at night to urinate...usually 3-4 hours after falling asleep. I am 52. This has been going on for several years. Recently, when I wake, I have been unable to get back to sleep. So I putter around for a few hours then go back to bed around 3 or 4 am only to wake again at 7am to get ready for work. Exhausted!! 8 months ago, I started getting tailbone pain. It hasn t gone away. I just assumed that I must have somehow aggravated my tailbone but I m now wondering if its prostrate related.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms can be related to an enlargement of prostate.
I suggest to do an abdominal ultrasound and evaluate the volume of prostate.
I also suggest to do urine test and an urine culture.
I recommend to do a PSA test for further evaluation and consult an urologist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
