I have a 24 year old son who is experiencing frequent urination - 3-5 during the night and when he wakes up he feels thirty despite the fact this he is drinking a lot of water - 3-4 33 oz bottles of water daily. This has been going on for about 2 - 3 weeks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to diabetes, cold environment.
I would suggest to go for following investigations to rule out diabetes:
Fasting and post meal blood sugar, urine tests-routine and microscopic test.
If investigations will come normal then nothing to worry about.
Avoid liquid drink 2-3 hour before going to bed
Do urination before going to bed
avoid caffeinated drink/product
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, do regular exercise.
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
