What Causes Frequent Urination After Withdrawing Klonopin?

Been on Klonopin for 3 years for sleep. Was having interdose withdrawal and increased frequency in urination. Now I am tapering off of the med and am noticing increased urgency and frequency. I see this listed as a possible side effect of withdrawal. Thoughts? I do not get up at night as frequency daytime only. I do not always have a large amount of fluid when I go

Hello,
You are correct.
Increased urinary frequency is side effect of KLONOPIN withdrawal, however There is nothing to worry because this would also go away gradually with time.
In general acute withdrawal symptoms last for 2 months but clinically significant withdrawal symptoms although declining gradually, may last for many months and sometimes years.
Don't loose patience and keep tapering of to quit it completely someday.
Thanks
