What Causes Frequent Cough?
Sir, My 3 yr old daughter is getting cough frequently, once or twice a month and I used to give 3.5 ml dilosyn 4 times for wet cough and coscopin linctus 5 ml 4 times for dry cough. Usually starts as dry cough and change to wet. Will it s frequent use create issue. Kindly advice.

It appears from the description that your daughter has an allergic bronchitis (hyperactive airway disease).
Dilosyn and Coscopin are cough suppresents and will not be of great help. Moreover no cough syrups will solve the problem,as they will suppress the cough for sometime with added sedation.
she requires bronchodilators preferably in the inhaled form.
A visit to a doctor can be of immense help to confirm the diagnosis.
