What Causes Frequent Bowel Movement And Excessive Hunger?

I have constant elimination problems with IBS. I don t usually have diaharreah, just constant elimination throughout the day with pressure. I feel hungry all the time & never satisfied. I eat mostly brown rice cereals every a.m. drink only water or herbal tea esp. peppermint or ginger, no caffeine. I sometimes mix brown rice protein with applesauce to eat early in the day for extra energy. I do crave sweets. Do you have any suggestions for the constant hunger feeling? I am not diabetic, good blood pressure & weight.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Raised hunger in spite there is no diabetes have good blood pressure and weight can be due to the following reasons.
Stress and anxiety are the commonest causes in such a cases which again cause the IBS as you have as mentioned.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation.
Get the tests of blood, urine and stool again.
Upper GI Endoscopy to see for any acidity related problems.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Counselling with your Doctor or a Psychiatrist to see for the level of stress, anxiety or psychology related problems and get them corrected by medications or so.
Get involved into positive activities and Naturopathy like mediation, yoga or so.
Once the basic cause is treated well, the problem of IBS, constant elimination and raised appetite would get solved.
I find this answer helpful
