What Causes Foul Smelling Vaginal Discharge?
Hello about two weeks ago I went to the doctor due to a foul smell down there and they found a week old tampon that had swam up to where I couldn t reach. They extracted it and put me on a common antibiotic I m sorry I can t remember the name and I don t have it with me currently but after two days of taking it my vagina started itching really bad and smelling bad again and then I ended up self diagnosing myself with a yeast infection because I had every symptom. I went to CVS to pick up a one day monistat medication and it s been about a week and I m still having copious amounts of white chunky discharge and a foul smell but I have almost no vaginal itching. I have no idea what this could be and I m on vacation for the next 5 days. If you could give me any information concerning my symptoms I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time. 1. As you said your doctor has already prescribed you the antibiotics then need not take again.
2.You said that you have taken monistat tablet also but still the discharge is there. It's more likely a vaginal yeast infection.
So what you need to do is buy Clotrimazole ointment and apply it deep inside the vagina with a tube given inside with the ointment. Apply it twice a day for 5 days.
Along with this you also have to take tab Ornidazole 200mg for three days and tablet Azithromycin once a day for 3 days.
