What Causes Foul Smelling Discharge From The Anus?

Hello. I have clear, very strong smell liquid coming from my anus. It s been going on for about three months now. I m wondering if it is caused by my continued use of suppositories. I have been using suppositories for about five years every day. Thank you

Hi
Thanks for posting onHCM
Sorry to hear what you are through
Possible causes of foul smelling discharge from anus may include:
-proctitis caused by Intestinal diseases like Ulcerative colitis and Crohn disease, Intestinal infections or sexually transmitted infections (STIs), Trauma from putting objects in your rectum, Radiation treatment
-Anal abscess
-Anal/rectal/colon cancer
I will suggest you see a Proctologist for examination and investigation. You may need work-ups like STIs tests, rectocolonoscopy, abdominal CT scan, stool exan/culture.Your treatment will depend on findings.
Hope this will help
Wish you a speedy recovery
