yes my name is Wayne and I have a 3 year old grand Daughter. and is very smart for here age Emily and she is teaching me the A.B.C I am ok for about haft way but then I get a bit lost. but Emily just sings it all way through. but last Friday we found out that Emily has fluid on the brain she just today had a operation to drain out fluid after the op, she has been sitting up and talking she has had a hold Vegemite sandwich Emily is sleeping now. As per my clinical experience, the condition of your grand daughter sounds to be in relation with hydrocephalus most likely. There is raised intracranial pressure from various possible issues as there can be obstruction at the level of cerebro-spinal fluid drainage sites like Foramen of Monro, cerebral aqueduct or others. It is the ventriculoperitoneal shunt which relieves the excess pressure built up in the CSF draining sinuses and relieve the clinical symptoms.
