What Causes Fluctuation In Heart Beat With Palpitations?
Hello i have recently had a 24 hour heart monitor and it found that my heart was beating from 50bpm to 130bpm then going back down again.I am 38 year old woman with a family heart history on my fathers side. I am 5foot 7 and weigh 10stone 11lb.I am waiting for an Eco-cariogram but my palputations are happening more frequently what should i do?
First of all i hope you dont smoke and if you do you have to stop it as your fast heart rate can be due to your smoking habit.
Now let me tell you that the rate of heart varies according to your activity level. If you are resting it can be as low as 40 and then if you are active and doing some sternous work out it can go upto 150 depending upon your body fitness level. My advise to you is to get one ECHOCADIOGRAPHY done to asses your heart function. Second you can start on Low dose beta blockers if your palpitations are bothering your daily activities after consulting your cardiologist. And also get a thyroid profile done.
Good Luck
