What Causes Floating Stools Which Are Snow White Inside?

My sister has had a lot of medical problems in the last two years. She has been on antibiotics for a few weeks and now she has had a couple of stools that float, they are about the size of a pecan, and they are snow white inside. The main problem she had was her pancreas.

welcome to HCM: the floating stools and normally a sign of indigestion or malabsorption. This will cause for people who do not have enough enzymes to digest their food. This is commonly seen with people with pancreatic insufficiency or pancreatic disease. There are other people who experience this at those were/are alcoholics. Because once again alcoholics have a fast transit time through their GI and lose most of your stool partially digested. the other concern is since she's been on antibiotics since that she could've developed C. difficile. She may need to be evaluated if this continues. Good luck
