What Causes Floaters In Vision?

Can Subjunctive Bleeding cause cataracts? About a week ago I awoke with the left part of the white eyeball was red. In a few days it went away. For the last three days I have had a floating dark line in my vision that moves around as I look form right to left and up/down. I am a 67 year old male.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Eye floaters in most of cases are a benign condition in your age caused by floating of flecks of protein in a fluid called vitreous in the back of your eye , the reflection of those substances on the retina causes the sensation of lines or spots in your vision .
In that case you should ignore them and they will disapear with time .
But since you have a red eye which may indicate the risk of bleeding especially if you are taking aspirin or any sort of blood thinner drugs , I highly recommend the need of a thorough examination by an ophtalmologist.

Hope I answered your question
Wish you a speedy recovery
Best regards
