What Causes Flaky Skin While On Antibiotics For Bacterial Meningitis?
In Jan. 15, I acquired bacterial meningitis . I got it from a shot for back pain. I was given an antibiotic even tho I was allergic to it. My entire body got burned and skin peeled for about six weeks. There have been several other side effects. can you tell what was in the medicine that di d this to me? Was this done as a last resort or would I have a case against them, also the doctor that gave me meningitis? He verbally told me he was responsible.
It would not be possible to know what medication for given for your back pain, this information would be in your medical notes. There are a number of different medications that can be used for pain so it would not be possible to know the specific one used unfortunately.
It may not be the medication itself but the technique used during the injection process. Infection is one of the potential complications of any invasive process, it is a risk that is normally mentioned before hand.
I hope this helps
