Hi Doctor My daughter [1.5 years] is suffering from Early Morning fever as well as occasional cough. When she coughs the sound seems like sputum is blocking her tracks. Morning time she almost looks ok [No fever but she coughs] , but today her appetite is little less. We have given her sinarest and occasional steaming. Please suggest. Thank You

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms indicate that she is suffering from a common cold. Neglect may lead to bronchitis or pneumonia.

You are suggested to get her physically examined by a Pediatrician to rule out any developing bronchitis or pneumonia & get her treated for the seasonal allergy.

She may need decongestants, analgesics or antibiotics depending upon the severity of the infection detected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
