Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a colonoscopy and egd Wednesday. After the proceedure I experienced extreme pain which was unusual because I have had a colonoscopy before and experienced very little pain. It lasted two days. The pain is gone but the past two nights I get migraines that NOTHING helps and a fever. Tonight my fever is over 100° I feel ok everywhere else. What is going on? Is this something to call about?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It is possible that the fever and headaches you are experiencing after your colonoscopy and EGD procedure could be due to an infection or inflammation in your body. It is important to contact your healthcare provider or the clinic where you had the procedure to report your symptoms and seek medical advice.
They may want to evaluate you further to determine the cause of your symptoms and provide appropriate treatment. In some cases, complications such as perforation or bleeding can occur after a colonoscopy, so it is important to seek medical attention if you experience any persistent or severe symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
