Blood test indicated IGG antigens for helicobacter pylori infection. 14 day quad bismuth treatment. No impact on symptoms. C.t. scan results today identified congenital intestinal rotation. Do you think I have a vulvulas? Ps: this happened to me 15 years ago. Have had gastrointestinal symptoms for 2 decades (IBS c, gastritis, malabsoption, weight loss, malnutrition). As child underweight and skinny through my 20s.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are already a known patient of intestinal malrotation and hence can get repeated volvulus. Incidentally this happened after surgery of hemorrhoidectomy and for fissure in ano. Hence you should go for the following: Contrast enhanced CT scan of abdomen. X-ray of abdomen in standing position. Tests of stool, blood, and urine. Clinical examination by a General Surgeon or the one who operated you. A course of probiotics, antibiotics, Metronidazole, and so on as needed. Colonoscopy if possible as it is already 5 weeks post-op. Get a proper diagnosis and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
