What Causes Feeling Sick Despite Taking Amoxicillin?
I finished taking my round of 500 mg amoxicillian But was still sick. My doctor wrote me another RX, when I got home from the pharmacy I noticed my prescription was for 875 mg. Why did he raise the amount? Could it be a mistake? Is it dangerous to take that much more?
Some persons are given the higher dose of amoxicillin at 875 (if an infection is severe )
If the initial course was not effective and you are still having symptoms in keeping with a bacterial infection, then you may need a different antibiotic altogether.
You can take the medication as prescribed, as stated this is a dose that is used, if there is no effect then you should see your doctor for re assessment and an alternative given
I hope this helps
