What Causes Fatigue And Excessive Sleepiness While On Xarelto, Metoprolol And Valsartan?

I am taking Xarelto 20mg,Metoprolol 50mg, Valsartan 320mg and Amlodipine 10mg. I am always tired ,sleepy, and have very dry mouth in the morning. Also, I feel shortness or tired breathing in the morning. I have a fibrillation. I would like to know if any one of medicines above would cause those symptoms. I will appreciate you advise or recommendations. Thank you

Hi,

Yes, taking many drugs can cause this. Drugs used for treating hypertension can cause weakness and fatigue including Amlodipine, Vasartan, but Metoprolol is quite notorious for causing fatigue and weakness.

So, I understand this may related to your drug specifically Metoprolol. However, we should always first rule out other causes that can cause fatigue like low hemoglobin, thyroid problem, electrolyte, and any other diseases. So you should first do those tests.
