What Causes Fatigue And Chills After Receiving A Flu Shot?

I’m 62 yrs old female, I received the flu shot 1-27-2018; yesterday is when I started with chills with no fever (98.2). Today I’ve had the same chills also with no fever, I’m just clammy & tired; no aches, coughing or any other symptom. Should I go & see my PCM or wait it out?

Hello,

It is very common of having chills, headache, rash, weakness and vomiting after flu shot. It will subside in few days. Use symptomatic treatment with paracetamol and plenty of oral liquid diet.

If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
