What Causes Fatigue Along With Weight Loss And Metallic Taste In The Mouth?

I have some symptoms that are concerning me. Until ~ 6mo. ago i was in good health but don't feel that way now. 53 y.o. male. no other health diagnosis, no medications. Started experiencing noticeable fatigue, weight loss (~20lbs). No appetite, food doesn't taste good anymore, tongue feels a little swollen, weird (metallic?) taste in my mouth. My vision, which was slowly fading seems to have gotten significantly worse, and my eyes hurt (and itch) a lot. My neck is also stiff/sore. I'm worried that some genetic disease, autoimmune disorder or cancer is manifesting. I am going to a doctor for physical/tests next week. Any advice appreciated.

Hello,

Many causes for weaknesses and altered smell mouth. I'm here just mentioned few possible causes are.

Drugs intake like iron tablets or bismuth contains antacids or gum bleeding or sinusitis or post nasal drip or acid reflux with bleeding ulcer etc.

Weakness may be due to anaemia or fibromyalgia or infection or depression or hypothyroidism etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Do regular exercise, eat green leafy vegetables and germinating seeds.

Please consult your physician he will examine for possible causes and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
