General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your short history of loss of energy, proteins from muscles, Doctor's tests and biopsy are suggestive of myositis; but treatment given and wants to know more.
The underlying causes needs to be found out.
I would advise youth following in such a situation:
Blood tests for autoimmune diseases, Vitamin D, A, Calcium.
Serum proteins.
24 hours urine protein and kidney function tests.
Thyroid function tests.
Diabetes and such diseases can cause such problems.
Psychological evaluation for stress and anxiety.
All these will lead to a probable cause so that a specific treatment can help you to come over some of the problem for sure, for example Vitamin D in therapeutic dosages, correction of any medical problem found and so on.
Also go for Neurological evaluation and EMG.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
