What Causes False Positive Result For Codeine?
I had my quarterly drug test done and it showed a positive for codeine, yet I haven t taken anything other than the drugs that I am given by the same doctor. I take time released morphine and duloxetine (Cymbalta) and Albuterol inhaler and solution. Do you know if either of these drugs contain codeine in them and if they don t, how can a test come back positive when I haven t taken it?

Both the drugs you have mentioned have hardly any chance to release Codiene. pos.s.ibility of drug-like cough syrup you might have taken an ave it.
The false +vereport may be an error in testing kit/late use of samples.tested for primary mass assessment.
In doubtful false +ve cases confirmatory test (of the pat of the same sample preserved before the primary test) by electrophoresis can be demanded.
