Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fainting And Dizziness Post An Injury?
Yes please. About six weeks ago I fell backwards I felt and heard a crack. I couldn t hold on to my walker even. For two weeks after I would have these severe room spinning so fast dizzy spells. So I used my wheel chair more during that time. NOW maybe 6-8 weeks later every time I look up or tilt my head back, only when standing and walking with my wheel chair I immediately start head spinning. Last about a minute. This has been going on about 2weeks now and seems to happen more often now. At least 15-20 Times a day now. Can you please give me a few reasons of what is causing this? Sincerely Miss Texas
* As the amount of spinning is severe (15 - 20 times a day), I strongly recommend to get an MRI of the brain to rule out any underlying contusion, hematoma of the brain or its appendages.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
