What Causes Extremely Watery Stools?

Thank you. I suddenly have acute watery stools. They can t even be called stools , I don t think. Just dirty water & I don t have any feeling when it is coming on. As a matter of fact, & this is embarrassing to say, but twice in the past 24 hours, I have soiled my clothes & last night on my way to the toilet just to urinate, watery stool just simply came out of me onto the bathroom floor with no warning at all. I don t feel sick, have no infection & haven t eaten anything I am allergic to or any food that is spicy. I thought I would see how it goes for one more day & if it continues, I will go to my doctor. Can you help at all? Kind of worried. Thank you.

Hi welcome to HCM...

You have watery stool ....

Your provisional diagnosis : Acute Enteritis

Brief answer :

Follow these advises that will be useful in your case ....
1.Take lots of water to maintain hydration
2.Avoud excess spicy foods for few days .
3.Avoud smoking , excess tea and coffe
4.Fruit juice more
5.Zinc tablet and probiotic tablet taken for few days
6.Take ORS also in water daily to maintain electrolyte balance

Get your stool examined ....
If no pus cells , mucus or blood present and if no fever than racecadotril tablet can be taken for non infected diarrhea...

But if pus cells present and fever there ciprofloxacin given ..

If stool show Ameba egg metronidazole given ...

If still needed stool culture, USG done ...
