What Causes Extreme Tiredness And Nausea In A Heart Patient?

Hi My husband is 85 years old - in fairly good health. He has a pace maker which is working properly- He is extremely tired I mean that he is having a hard time walking and functioning. We have been to the dr - he checked his blood everything is ok - Dr gave him a vit. B12 shot - He still does not feel good. Do you have any thoughts as to what it could be? Oh he is also not anemic. He fells tired and is nauseous Thank you Carol

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If anemia and pacemaker dysfunction has been ruled out, his tiredness might be due to weak heart. Go for fresh ECHO, let cardiologist see his ejection fraction and rule out chronic heart failure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh,
