What Causes Extreme Pain Near Left Ovary While Urinating?

I started my period yesterday. Now when I sit down to pee I fall to the floor in extreme pain. I have to use the shower to go to the bathroom. It s around my left ovary. When I urine it s just as painful. It s a pain that feel like it s locking up and not letting go.

Pain in the lower abdomen, especially during urination, is most likely due to urinary tract infection.
However, other causes like ovarian cysts should be ruled out.
I will suggest you to get your urine examination done to rule out infection, and if negative, then get an ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis and get appropriate treatment timely.
