My mother is 92 years old. Over the last 4 weeks she has been vey fatigued and sleeping a lot. She is very disoriented and confused. She has had urinary track infection and run through two different antibiotics. She does not drink very much water. Could it be dehydrated?

Hi, i do care for your concern.
The urinary tract infection will cause dehydration and inflammation produced may add to the condition.
It is advisable
To go with parentral nutrition with fluid support along with oral foods.
Need not panic as the condition gets normal once the infection gets normal.
hope everything goes fine.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Thank you.
