What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge In A Child?
Hi my gal is four years old she has been having vaginal discharge for almost two years she has bin on several antibaotics with no change. Now she has to go to the theator in order to find posible solution wat is the problem ans the possible treatment
Persistent vaginal discharge at the age of 4 years is a clinically demanding and warranting issue. There can be grave pathologic conditions such as - Ovarian tumors secreting hormones - Untreated or uncontrolled pelvic infections - Sexual abuse in some cases - Lack of hygiene care in selected cases
However, if her work up with lab and radiology as ultrasound or MRI findings are available, I can guide you further precisely after evaluation of the same for the possible differential diagnosis of the issue.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
