What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge And Vaginal Bleeding Post Menopause?
I am 55 yrs old. Post menopause x7 yrs. have had a clear discharge the consistency of egg whites. No pain or odor and intermittently. 2 days ago I started bleeding bright red blood and passing small clots today, no pain or odor. Uterine cancer in Aunts twice removed. In 1991 I had part of my cervix removed due abnormal cells on pap smear.

Anytime there is bleeding after menopause a thorough examination to determine the cause of it is necessary.
You will need a gynecological examination to rule out any vaginal lesions or vaginal atrophy as the cause of the bleeding and also a transvaginal ultrasound to rule out endometrial hypertrophy or cancer.
