What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge After Taking A Morning After Pill?
I took the morning after pill a few weeks, I got my period but ever since my period ended I have being experiencing really heavy white discharge, it has quite a strong odor and is so heavy it leaks through my underwear and onto my pants. I am always very clean and wash my vagina every time I use the bathroom but it s becoming a real problem to the point where I am having to wear period pads. Please tell me what it could be and what I can do to get rid of it and stop it from happening!

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. Morning after pill is not known to cause increased vaginal discharge or infection..It is known to cause frequent &irregular bleeding. A carelessness in vaginal hygiene during these bleedings.can cause bacterial infection ..which can produce excessive white discharge & pelvic infection with pain. Consult a gynecologist for specific management. Thanks
