General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Mala D is a hormonal preparation used for contraception. As soon as it is discontinued, there is withdrawal bleeding.
Don't worry, it's normal. The periods will get regular in a couple of months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
