General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, some blood pressure medication can cause electrolyte imbalance which can cause such symptoms as you explained.

However, with such sweating episodes along blood pressure spikes should rule out endocrine causes with baseline Thyroid profile as well as urinary metanephrines levels to rule out pheochromocytoma.

Serum electrolytes should also be monitored. A fresh review of hypertension medications may also be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
