What Causes Excessive Sweating And Shortness Of Breath?

My mother is 81 and I have noticed she has started sweating at times when she isn t doing anything and it isn t really hot. She also said that she was feeling a bit short of breath at times. She has low iron but had a blood transfusion about 2 months ago.

You have problem of excessive sweating and shortness of breath that may be because of thyroid gland problem like goiter.Hormonal imbalance of thyroid also cause this type of symptoms.Thyroid function test is helpful for diagnosis.

Respiratory tract infection also cause shortness of breath.Proper physical examination and history give exact idea. Consent a physician for further diagnosis.
