What Causes Excessive Sweating And Hot Flashes?

I have a time in the morning, usually around 10:00 A,M,, where I sweat profusely and am extremely hot. I am 61 and past hot flashes by approximately 30 years. At a lower altitude I did not seem to have any of the sweats while there for the last 7-8 weeks. I have been back at 7000+ altitude for three days and have started sweating today again.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think these hot flashes may be caused by hypertension hyperthyroidism. You can check your thyroid by doing T3, T4 and TSH levels.

Also I recommend you to do a total blood count to check leukocytes and lymphocytes levels. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a possible cause of hot flashes.

Get checked and we can discuss other possible options and also treatment options.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
